Pitchfork ran a review today of Tangiers' new disc, The Family Myth, that was pretty on the money, by SS's standards. Usually pegged as the Canadian The Walkman or The Strokes, Tangiers has carved its own sound on their latest, a pleasant little pop mod album with some remaining garage rock leanings. No obvious singles jump out this time around, but of course, getting away from The Strokes is usually good business these days.
