"The Mystic Underground (below, photo by Gigi Pulisic-Socci) carve and craft tales of longing, lust and the relentless loathing of boredom and set it to a dance beat."

The weekend is upon us again, and if you know anything about SS, you know this: when we party, we party 80's style (minus the coke and mullets). So enjoy another new wavey treat to get you through to happy hour.
The Mystic Underground's retro, brit pop sound is influenced perhaps most heavily by synth acts like Erasure and very early Depeche Mode. Lead singer/songwriter Vladimir Vale's vocals, in particular, evoke the heyday of the former while Benedetto Socci lays down pulsing, hit-worthy beats.
A new, limited EP, "Under the Clearest Moon" will drop shortly, but we've got a couple of older tracks here to get you up to speed. Download, bust out that old "Frankie Says Relax" tee and enjoy.
