Jimmy Eat World might still be stuck in early-2000s emo mode, but if more bands did it as well as they do, the genre might not be such a blogger whipping post. Chase This Light was a surprisingly tight follow up to the overwrought Futures, and had the disc come out maybe 5 years ago, we might have a serious hit on our hands. But you have to admire the band's dogged determination to chronicle teen angst for the masses, even 15+ years in.
Latest single "Always Be" is the type of song JEW can bang out in its sleep, but if we had a 15-year-old sister adding songs to the SS jukebox, we'd take this over Dashboard any day of the week. Check out the vid after the jump.
