We're psyched to hear that The Republic Tigers' debut full-length will drop on May 6. You might remember we were diggin' the Kansas quintet's brand of folk-pop on that recent EP. Now Chop Shop Records, a new imprint on Atlantic
Records owned by Alexandra Patsavas of Chop Shop Music Supervision (Grey's
Anatomy, Gossip Girl, The O.C.), will release the follow-up LP for its inaugural signing.
The spinsters are calling it "a naturalistic approach by including the prodigious use of acoustic guitars, accordion, trumpet, and trombone, and countering that instrumentation with seemingly infinite waves of blissed-out synths, programmed strings and multi-tracked harmonies." Unless they've strayed far from the gorgeous formula used for the EP, we bet they're right.

Stellar! I can't wait to hear the full length - the EP is amazing!
