O.A.R. Goes AOR on "Shattered"

The blogosphere has rarely shown any public displays of affection for frat rock veterans O.A.R.  Sure, most of their early stuff sounds the same and the lyrics were as sophisticated as a Michael Bay script, but they were fun, chill and ditties like "Crazy Game of Poker" or "Black Rock" were tailor made for beer-soaked outdoor festivals and summer BBQs.  With the debut of O.A.R.'s latest mid-tempo, radio rock wannabe, I miss those days more than ever.

Maybe "Poor Man's DMB" wasn't the worst label in the world guys.  "Shattered," off the band's upcoming (7.15) LP All Sides, is sterile, boring and makes Hoobastank's "The Reason" sound like genius.  Yuck.  Check it out after the jump and see if you agree.
