It's been a big week for Rage Against of the Machine fans! First we got a title and tracklist for guitarist Tom Morello's second Night Watchman disc, and today Idolator is reporting that Zach De La Rocha is finally releasing some new tunes in the form of a 5-track EP, due 7.22.
We have no idea what direction this project will take musically, but as usual, they probably won't be crankin' on Dick Cheney's iPod anytime soon:
Zack calls the One Day As a Lion disc "A defiant affirmation of the possibilities that exist in the space between kick and snare. It's a sonic reflection of the visceral tension between a picturesque fabricated cultural landscape, and the brutal socioeconomic realities it attempts to mask."
In other words, the perfect beach album. Enjoy!
